Introduction

Welcome to HeadCase. This is the default help for Branches. In the event of this help being inadequate, or other suggestions and complaints, please mail the HeadCase creator, Elliott Bignell, at elliott@bignell.demon.co.uk. Further help is available at the HeadCase homepage.

HeadCase Mind Maps are built up out of Branches and Nodes. To these basic connecting items can be added Pictures and Text Blocks. Further layers of complexity are added through Embellishment.

Branches are the links from Node to Node. Generally, a Branch will link a Node to a child Node. creating a strict parent/child relationship. A future version. however, will include the capacity to link arbitrarily, creating cross-links.

For normal Mind Mapping ®, a Branch will be embellished with a Text Block, which curves along the branch. Future versions will include the capacity to curve pictures and other components along branches.
