Template Documents

HeadCase will shortly feature various new types of footnote and tool-tip. Among these will be HTML tips and picture tips. For a photo gallery, for instance, you can currently link a branch to a photo or other picture. A photo tip will allow you to see a thumbnail of the picture when you hover the mouse over it. For a Mind Map organising recipes or shopping lists, you could add a bulleted HTML list in the footnote, which would also pop up when you hover the mouse, or optionally appear at the side of the map on the canvas.

To reduce the workload in creating HTML notes, it will be possible to apply a template which will be used in creating the content of the note. This will reside in a separate file and determine how the note should be formatted. All the user then has to do is select the template and, if applicable, type in the footnote text. HeadCase will insert the text into an HTML document and apply the formatting automatically.
