HeadCase Integration with Windows Explorer
Overview
Windows Explorer offers a range of ways of interacting with files without opening their associated application, of which HeadCase takes some advantage. In Explorer, HeadCase files can be viewed as thumbnails, their text outline seen in the pop-up tip which appears when you hover a mouse over the file and their content exported to images and otherwise manipulated using options on the file's context menu. Future versions will include further integration, including the ability to browse into a HeadCase Mind Map like a directory and examine its embedded footnotes and linked files, properties tabs on the Explorer "Properties" dialogue and Internet Explorer helpers to capture text and images found on the Internet.
Thumbnail View
On the "View" menu in Internet Explorer you can set the view to "Thumbnails". In this view, HeadCase files are shown as preview pictures of the Mind Map in the file.
